Found this picture in a local newspaper: These days with Windows Vista around you never know what can happen when you plugin a new gadget into your laptop! Some crashes just can’t be avoided…
I guess we all heard a story about that guy who brought a jumbo down, because he had to use his phone during flight. Maybe it’s just an Urban Legend after all?
With Bluetooth, Infrared, WiFi, 3G and other wireless technologies popping up faster than you can say ‘turbulence’ its no wonder that there might be still some surprises ahead for the savvy traveler.
Now more and more airlines are thinking to allow mobile phones during flights; a thought that sends shivers down my spine – not because of possible dangers of disrupting the planes communication, navigation or steering systems – but just imagine every jerk now talking freely away during those long intercontinental flights, phone rings and chatter around you all the time.
“Mama, I’m on a plane in 30,000 feet! I can see the pyramids!”.
Arglgglglgl! Things just don’t get smoother this way.
So, coming back to your laptop and your Airbus 380 suddenly flying in circles – hope you have the right drivers with you? Just don’t click ‘Shutdown’ or ‘Restart’ before you’ve landed safely!

Geez, I hadn’t heard about that. Yeah, I agree, I don’t want to have to listen to some moron chatting away on his cellphone the ENTIRE flight. Thank God for iPods!

Please, please , please don’t let cell phones come onto planes ! I don’t even think they should be allowed into restaurants ( or at least turned down on low ) .
Planes are often noisy enough and on the off chance that I get some quiet time to read, I want to keep it quiet !

I don’t buy with the idea of cellphone use during mid-air flights…
