Just a short note, that this website won an Award of Excellence by IGLU, one of the biggest travel companies in the UK with millions of people visiting their portal site every year. IGLU has won many awards based on their hard work and dedication to the traveling customer, who they offer many holiday destinations to, as well as a range of information.
Okay, now this is what will happen next: the link back from their page will send some of their ‘millions of visitors’ over, to increase my traffic tremendously.
More visitors will lead to more clicks, more advertising sold, thus adding more millions of $X$X$X$ (attention: please insert your currency of choice here, but please no 3rd-world currencies with more than 6 digits per Euro or Dollar) to the ones I have already in my overflowing bank account. Ahem!
With the additional funds I will take over oil-spilling BP, the Bill and Melinda Gates foundation or whatever other powerful company or charity is currently for sale.
Following that I will organize World Peace, a cure for Cancer and Aids, eradicate Hunger, Starvation and Poverty in the world and finance a Space Race to Alpha Centauri to find the future of our Civilization.

I think there are a few problems in the region where Chris hop around: Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, Cambodia, etc. Many people still can’t afford clean water, emergency preparedness, shelter and toilet. So, I’d suggest that imparting skills to the poor in these countries to meet these basic needs is a very meaningful action.
Some ideas that nomads could consider depending on your budget:
1) Develop Local Ceramic Water Filter Industry ( http://www.wsp.org/UserFiles/file/926200724252_eap_cambodia_filter.pdf )
Cost: Probably at least a few thousand US$ at least to open a cottage industry there
2) Give a Ceramic water filter to villagers as a gift ( http://www.cascadedesigns.com/msr/water-treatment-and-hydration/expedition-water-treatment-and-hydration/miniworks-ex-microfilter/product )
The ceramic filter may be washed and used for many years before needing replacement. It produces a liter/minute. For survival, we need around 1.5-2 liters a day of portable water for drinking. Theoretical limit means this filter can provide safe drinking water for up to 960 persons (assuming 60 liters/hour x 24 hours = 1440 liters maximum production. 1440 liters / 1.5 liters per person= 960 persons). Cost: US$90
3) Teach them how to produce solar distiller using cheap bottles, copper pipes, etc. ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aXjMAItCMl0 )
Cost: a few dollars
4) Sponsor well-digging
Cost: probably a few thousand US$ plus licensing paperwork
5) Teach them how to build a Village Composting Toilet ( http://www.worldchanging.com/archives/004988.html )
Cost: a few hundred US$
6) Give them mosquito nets, tents, emergency food rations, water storage bags, blankets, etc, that may be used when earthquake or tsunami hits
7) Teach them how to preserve and can food that may be used during emergency such as natural disasters.
These include how to build mud houses which are fire-proof.

Well said. But you forget to mention about education. name is exist, but education itself? If we list the problem Bali has,it can take pages and pages.As a ex patriot living in Bali we can not ignore the facts many people suffering from health,education,economy. Water is the only one problem, what about if you get sick? Where will you go? Which doctor or hospital will take care of you if you don’t have insurance or lots of money? Will doctor or hospital really take care of you even if you have insurance and money?
